Our Story:

In 1972 when the shop was opened by Walter H. McClanahan, WHMC Guns proved to be the areas leading source of firearms. Walter continued this tradition until 2016 when the shop was bought by Lance Sherer. He has continued to grow the shop and has one largest inventories in West Tennessee. Lance has continued the tradition of high end firearms and preserved the feel of the old time gun shop. WHMC offers its patrons the old time gun shop experience with firearms spanning over multiple decades. We have the leading service department in West Tennessee and one of if not the largest inventories. WHMC plows forward into the future with the opening of its custom shop in April 2022 and other exciting projects in the works. We look forward to welcoming all our old and new friends at the shop and also our new friends in cyberspace.
